Nautilus
Calm descends as you arrive under hushed coconut palms to the thrum of the Indian Ocean lapping the Watamu shores.
Nautilus is a beachfront residence that encapsulates harmony between nature and rustic living the moment you walk through the antique doors.
This amalgamation of Grecian and Swahili architecture offers guests a calm haven.
Our family
Sooz has called Watamu home for years since her parents bought this beachfront plot in the ‘60s.
The Allwork-Parkinsons invite you to stay in a home that has brought them serenity through the years.
This property has been used as a space for the family to recentre, relax and reconnect.
Experience Watamu
Watamu is a quaint fishing village situated on the splendid Kenyan Coast.
It is filled with phenomenal eateries and adventurous experiences both on land and sea.
Visit the talented craftsmen in their ‘dukas’ to pick up some handmade Kenyan crafts, or visit Arabuko Sokoke forest to meet the elephants.
At sunrise, you can enjoy a paddle board session and look out for dolphins and turtles. Or perhaps you’d prefer a yoga session overlooking the tropical bay of Watamu. For those ready to break a sweat, the newly built Padel court and Kitesurfing school are just 10 minutes’ drive away.
Whether it is a holiday of rejuvenation, adventure or calm, this exquisite town holds it all right on your doorstep.

The Masons
“What an honour and total joy to be the very first visitors at Nautilus. An absolutely beautiful house set in paradise. We have had the best time and are going to struggle to tear ourselves away. Thank you, Suzie, for being so welcoming and thanks to the delightful staff for looking after us so well. We do hope to see you again.”

“Suzie - These last 5 days have been some of the best of my life. I ate amazing food, explored the ocean, played in the pool, and my personal favourite was playing football for hours a day with the locals. Thank you so much for having us in this incredible house and I hope to be back soon.”
